craving for downtime

September 14, 2012 , , , , ,

Not sure about the rest of you, but we’re whooped. All this back-to-school shopping, homework, getting the kids to and fro; keeping up with political, economic and world news; revamping our fall wardrobes, cheering on the Phillies and the Eagles… We are Friday Frazzled. (Lavenders, take us away!)

If you’re feeling empathetic (and equally drained), you might appreciate this pre-Labor Day post by Daily Candy, “11 Films to See Before Labor Day”—none of which WE have had time to tackle because they’re not On Demand or on Netflix…yet.

Nothing is more attractive to us right now than plopping down on the couch with a heaping plate of Ekta lamb vindaloo, a bottle of shiraz and a great movie, so if YOU have any recommendations for us, please leave a comment.

Hopefully, this tidbit of movie inspiration will help YOU ease into a cozy night at home, with nothing in your hands except a glass of your favorite libation and the remote. And, you now have a great list in hand for your next Date Night.

PS: We highly recommend Beasts of the Southern Wild. An absolute must-see! (But, you’ll have to leave the house.)
