don’t forget me knot: go shopping + be terrorized (not simultaneously!)

October 23, 2012 , , , , , , , ,

For the locals: If you’re eager to get a jump on that holiday gift list or update your interior before that big holiday bash, head west—or east, north and south—next weekend to explore Knots & Weaves fabulous new digs and second-floor Loft. Owners Kerry and Jim Greim are very excited about the new location, which was not only a labor of love, but a necessity, as their previous store was destroyed by a fire in 2011. Along with its stunning collection of Oriental and decorative rugs, customers now have a whole floor of funky finds for the home and body. Former groupies of Nesting Feathers will once again be able to fulfill their shabby chic, retro, French, hand-painted, one-of-a-kind shopping desires. And, so can you: Stop in next weekend, Saturday, November 3rd (10AM-4PM) and Sunday, November 4th (11AM-3PM) and enjoy local light bites (savory and sweet) and drinks, special promotions, raffle drawings, giveaways and more. More details here.

For Tri-state thrill-seekers: We just checked the calendar for you (we’re that good) and there are still tickets available for Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary this weekend. We’re very intrigued by the ALONE package (more by the cost, to be honest; who needs to spend a grand to be terrified?) However, we fully support YOU going all out. Never been (don’t feel bad; we haven’t either), check out the interactive preview. Then, if you really do want to go, get online ASAP. The weekend prior to Halloween is likely to be sold out by the time you finish this post.
