meet + greet, eat, AND clean up your (online) act
OK, even we admit that Douglasville, PA is a haul for lunch, but check out these photos of Keystone Villa where we’ll be speaking this coming Tuesday, 1/22—for a senior citizens’ home, this place looks pretty plush. Game of pool, anyone?
Thanks to Melissa Tabao-Aidukas, founder of Women in Business Social Networking, we’ll be leading a conversation about improving potential clients’/customers’ perceptions of you and your brand when they meet you “live,” or find your company online. The presentation is part of WIBSN’s first anniversary celebration, which also included lunch, mingling and the obligatory round of 30-second commercials. After our interactive workshop, you’ll never get anxious again when all eyes—and the stopwatch—are on you.
We’ve got lots to talk about: crafting a compelling, concise and impactful online bio that can be adapted to across platforms without sounding canned; de-cluttering your LinkedIn and Google+ profiles, putting a little sophistication in your Facebook fan page, displaying confidence without being off-putting, and most importantly, how to effectively reveal other sides of your personality so that you can make stronger personal connections to those engaging with your brand.
There’s still time to register, so if you’re Tuesday isn’t too jammed up, come out and meet some new faces, enjoy a meal that you didn’t have to prepare, and take home some worthwhile tips for pimping your profile.
